Aksaray University (ASU) Sustainability and Climate Change Coordinatorship signed a cooperation with Aksaray Municipality in order to raise environmental awareness and encourage recycling. In this context, recycling bins were placed at two different points of our university. The project aims to contribute to environmental sustainability and improve the recycling habits of university students and employees.

Sustainability and Climate Change Coordinator Dr. Ebru Koçak said, “This initiative is an important step to strengthen environmental awareness on our campus and raise awareness on waste management. This cooperation with Aksaray Municipality aims to spread recycling activities throughout the university and create a sustainable campus culture.”

The bins will be used for the collection of plastic waste. The points where the recycling bins were placed were determined as Campus-Center and Dining Hall, where students and staff can easily access them. In this way, it is expected to increase participation in recycling activities on campus and to bring waste into recycling processes.

As Aksaray University, we invite all our students and employees to use recycling bins. Let's build a sustainable future by protecting our environment together.
